How Bradford is Handling Emotion//The Preface and First Three Chapters do Their Heavy Lifting//Listen FREE to "Chapter 3: Post Tenebras Lux"

On this pleasant early September Saturday morning here in Pewaukee, Wisconsin I am lazily generating the audio file for Chapter 3 of my planned audiobook version of "Daclaxvia".

When I woke up this morning I had initial plans to watch the Badgers football team play their 11:00 game... until I remembered that Bucky is playing Alabama-- so why sweep away my weekend relaxation under the expected torrent of the Crimson Tide over my beloved Badgers?

In Chapter 3, there is a lot of emotion being expressed in the dialogue between two estranged brothers... under very strange circumstances... and, I was wondering how my AI voice actor, Bradford, (ElevenLabs software) would handle it.

It's important at this point in the layout of the book's story to inject some excitement since, up to this point, the Preface and Chapters One and Two had to do some heavy lifting in both setting the stage for the necessary high-tech substructure of this story and the initial roll out of the principal characters' relationships with one another and the backstory of their family.

To, me these are we the biggest challenges for me as a writer of this book. I had learned from my critiques of the first paperback version of 'Daclaxvia' that readers had a tough time plowing through, especially, the tech.

Taking all that into consideration I rearranged much of that material into an 'Introduction" wedged between the 'Preface' and Chapter 1'-- that's not included in the audio version.

All that said, I was happy with Bradford's AI intuition of how the dialogue should be carried along in the scene as it was written-- very happy.

I'm going to keep this post short, since just mentioning the football game has now stirred my curiosity.

SO, I'll leave it here and take the rest of the weekend off as The Retired Journeyman Writer to become the Equally Retired Football Game Watcher.
